It is a pleasure to announce that the NHC is now accepting applications for the ‘Human Rights and Minorities’ Matra Rule of Law training.

Human Rights and Minorities takes place in an online learning environment from 26 September – 28 October 2022, and the deadline to submit an application is Sunday 11 September 2022 – 23:59 CET.

The training aims to provide participants with an overview of mechanisms and policies that can be employed to implement internationally agreed human rights standards, and how these can be set in motion and made successful. The focus will be on practical implementation; government interaction with civil society will also be covered. Presentations on the Dutch approach in dealing with these standards will encourage the participants to reflect on the situation in their own country, to identify areas for reform and nurture exchange on practices in each other’s countries. Through interactive (group) assignments and the guidance of experts from the field, participants will get the chance to apply their knowledge and skills to learn from their peers and Dutch colleagues.
